The Mystery of The Light.

Paint with light, it'll be fun, I swear.

Yesterday I went to a very cold, wet meeting with the photography society I am a part of. However despite the autumn/winter conditions, it was so much fun! I was looking forward to this specific meeting as we had Light Painting. I have always seen it before and admired it but never actually tried it myself. I thought it would take so much knowledge to get the settings right and then to actually get someone to paint for you. Bullshit!! I am the worst person at setting my settings on my camera and 3/4 of the time I don't know what I'm doing at all BUT I managed to get some pretty nice shots. We had poi and fire breathers so the atmosphere was just amazing (and hot for like a second).  I love when the second the fire breather breathes fire, you feel this amazing warmth for a second on your body.

We went to this big grass field in UCC because we couldn't risk burning the buildings. The grass was so wet and I didn't have proper shoes for wetness so my feet were soaked and freezing at the end. But still, worth it! When we were supposed to start I don't know what I was doing with my settings so I just randomly changed them around until I got what I wanted. I could do way better but for now I'm happy with my stuff.

Light painting and catching pictures of fire breathers or poi is just so magical. Alright, just let me explain. When it's extremely dark outside and the only light source you have there is fire, things can get really pretty. Drawing different shapes in the air like it was a canvas, lighting up the atmosphere around with the fire and the warmth that comes out of it makes everything so relaxing and magical. The picture above shows a guy doing poi. I absolutely adore this picture because  not only it's so magical and pretty but also it's a bit creepy. If you look closely at the guy it looks like a spirit/ghost is coming out of him trying to run away from reality. Maybe I only think like this but to be honest I don't really care.
This picture I also adore. I am kind of mad that I didn't get everything in the frame as that would be just a perfect picture. I am still loving it though. You can clearly see the sparks from the fire and the guy looks like he's in a fire cage. Magical, I'm telling you.

Ah! See that? Light painting. Magic. It's really hard to think of something to paint on the sky. I painted an infinity symbol because I quite like them and I think the result is just amazing. Everything around is quite dark and then you just see this blue/white beam of light looking just so fucking amazing. I had so much fun with light painting that I definitely have to do it again.

This blog post didn't probably make sense at all. Ah well. Until next time!
