First of all I'm really sick today and I feel like crap so that's exciting. I think I underestimated Irish weather and when I saw sun I immediately thought "I CAN WEAR LESS CLOTHES NOW" and that as you can see, wasn't a good idea. I started to have a runny nose and I thought that was just something small so I didn't really care. And yesterday it got so much worse.
Yesterday was amazing (not because of the sickness). Yesterday I got the pleasure to meet the amazing and talented, George Watsky. It was a change from all the metal or rock concerts I usually go to and it was such a blast! Me and Zaneta went to Dublin quite early so I can go shopping and stuff. I didn't buy many things though as none of the shops wowed me. There was this one shop that had these majestic sunglasses and when I went up to the cash register, in hope of buying them, I heard they cost 24.99. Ha ha no. I also wanted a shirt from there but it was expensive as well. So where does Joanna go when she doesn't have anything bought yet? Penneys (or Primark if you live somewhere else). I bought these really cute denim-looking shorts with white stars on them and a t-shirt as I needed to change my present one as I was kind of sweating a lot. I also bought another fake stretcher. I just wanted a plain black one and I couldn't find a cheap one in Limerick so I bought my one for 4 euro c: And sometimes I question where my money goes..
Next part of the day was the actual concert! The concert was at 7 but we lined up around 5.30 to be in the front row and we actually succeeded. By the way, to the guy that kept hitting my arm and my bag when we were queuing up, fuck you. You know you're in a queue not on a ballet practice.. But anyway, we got to the front row and I didn't have to worry about my bag because I just put it behind the fence thing. When you're in the front row you are squished and people are trying to push you but nothing would beat the guy who was standing beside me and he was so close that I could feel his junk all over my ass. He might have gotten a bit excited. Thanks dude. I will never forget your junk.
However overall the concert was so amazing! Firstly there was a DJ who performed for the crowd and I didn't really like him because I only like DJ's when I'm in a club. He started playing club music and being a DJ obviously but then when he started playing 8-bit music from games, everyone started cheering and that's what he was playing for most of the time. I was just waiting for Watsky to come out so bad. Okay, that sounded a bit dirty, sorry.
Then it was time for the other supporting rapper (Dumfoundead was his name) and he was cool. It was kinda obvious that he was putting a fake gangster American accent when he was saying stuff like 'hands' or 'yeah'. He was still pretty good :) I think he was drunk during the concert though. Who knows?
Then after that it was the sex god, I mean..Watsky. I respect him so much and he is such a nice person on stage and in person. He did a fucking brilliant show. But what else would you expect? The funny thing was that there were these pieces of luminous paper stuck to the ceiling and they were falling like every 10 minutes and George wanted to catch one. His excuse was that these were stuck on the concert that was the day before his and Watsky's concert was so good that these papers wanted to party with us because his concert is better than the day before one. If he caught the paper he would control time. I love what's going on in his head, seriously. He also likes pelvic thrusts a lot. Then he went to the staff room as the concert was finished and everybody called him for one more song. Yeah. He did 3. Lovely guy.
Afterwards he stayed in The Academy to give out autographs but we were kicked out so he went outside and said he won't leave until he meets ALL of his fans. And he did. I got a picture with him, got an autograph and a quote he lives by in my quote book. He wanted to write Yolo but then wrote Carpe Diem instead. :) I wanted to ask him if I can give him a kiss on the cheek but he was super shy and awkward that I didn't want him to get more shy and awkward. Then me and zaneta left, jumping all around and running around the street. We are class.
Our bus back was half an hour late and I was getting worried but we finally got it and everything was fine. I fell asleep for like 2 times and 2 of my friends tried to take my phone..( I still don't know what for..). But it was a great laugh as the conversations that they're having are hilarious sometimes. I love my friends.
So I got home at 5am and I went to sleep straight away. And that brings me to right now-being really sick and tired and also having post-gig depression. Lovely!
Hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. <3
