I'm staring at this blank page of this blog post and I have a case of the writing disease so I need to write something now right?
As I was really busy today with doing my assignment for 10 fucking hours (yeah, that's what you get when you leave everything till the last minute) and I thought I will write about the university experiences I had so far.
1. It's way too easy to miss your lectures.
As university is an open space and you are not tied down to one building and no one is really minding you it's very tempting to skip these lectures. Most of my lecturers put up their notes online so I just don't go to their lectures with the excuse of "all the notes are online, I'll just write them up at home" which I end up not doing and spending all of my time on youtube. I sometimes make my friends miss lectures too, oops.
2. In uni, going to a nine o'clock lecture is possible after a night out.
I have had this situation sometimes that I went out, drank and had to wake up at 6.30 the next morning. Even though I was feeling like a complete zombie and didn't pay attention to everything I still managed to write up all the notes and not mess up. Proud of myself.
3.Societies are awesome.
I wanted to join a society I wanted to make friends that like what I like and have an extracurricular activity. I signed up for too many on societies day. I ended up going to one which is "photography". I stepped out of my comfort zone as I don't feel good with strangers unless I have a friend with me. It ended up to be an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend to join a society in uni.
4.People are too loud.
I live in student accommodation and obviously everyone who lives alone and don't have their parents around can be pretty big party animals. I have experienced so much loudness and I wish I could just shoot them all. I am not a person who is totally against parties. I like parties. However if you're having a party and you live in student accommodation, please respect the other residents. There's nothing worse than hearing some girl scream all the time while you're trying to sleep as you have an early lecture tomorrow. I just point my middle finger at the window, hoping they will shut up. Never works though..
5.Boys can be assholes.
I have found out the hard way. Just because boys are in university now doesn't make them mature at all. It makes them even wilder. Not saying all boys, obviously, but there are a lot of pricks out there who just want your va jay jay so watch yourself.
6. There's never enough books in the library.
We have a mahoosive library in my uni. However. Whenever we get an assignment, just after we leave class, I literally see some people running into the library and taking all the books available. If you're a true procrastinator like me you're affected badly by this. As I do my assignments pretty much the night before it's due, I can never find enough books to help me with research. All the good, hard working people have taken all the good books and now are sitting at home, laughing at the suckers like me. Don't procrastinate kids.
8.Having a gym (that is cheap because you payed way less because you're in uni) near your uni is so amazing.
This year I decided to go to the gym as I didn't pay a lot for it at all and if it's cheap then I gotta use it right? I have a full membership which means I can use ANYTHING that the gym has to offer. It's like a 10 minute walk from my uni and it pleases me so much. I have found that playing squash is so amazing and I definitely want to do it more.
9.Assignments are a piece of shit.
I am not an assignment person. Gotta put it out there. I hate doing them and they always go wrong. I would much prefer if I just went to my lectures and had one exam at the end of the year. Then life, for me, would be much more manageable and nicer. Destroy all the assignments. Pretty please.
10.Hot boys EVERYWHERE.
I can appreciate a good looking guy. However in college there is so many. SO MANY HOT GUYS. It's a pleasure for my eyes really so I won't complain about it ever.
That's it for this blog post. Hope you enjoyed it my little beauties. See you in the next one x
