An anonymous person on ask.fm told me that I should write more on my blog and as a personal slave that I am (haha not really) I am going to do it as I actually have big news to tell you guys about!
Well...I have won a competition! Which I never do to be honest because winning something for me is like once in a lifetime chance. But I entered this competition in Lava Javas (a youth club I go to) and basically what it was, was stage 1 of Irish Youth Music Awards. Sounds preety big ey? IT IS. Well basically you had to sing 2 of your original songs and one cover which for me sounded very horrific as I absolutely hate my originals (I'll tell you why at the end)*
But I decided to take part in it as I knew I won't do anything and my friends are my fans which would be an enjoyment for them as well. Ah why the hell not, ya know what I mean?
So I entered the competition, sand badly as my throat was very sore as I was kind getting sick annddd I won. But not completely. I have tied with my friend Caoimhe. I didn't know what that meant. I actually imagines a sing-off that we would have to see who's the ultimate winner but instead the boss of Lava Javas asked us if we can sing together. We're both good so why not! We're doing a duet together.
So Joanna you won, but what does that give you? Well. Winning the part one of the Irish Youth Music Awards means that you go to Dublin (the capital of Ireland, if you didn't know) and represent your own city in a singing competition. But but but that's not all. We also have our "crew" which consists of like 23 people and they have jobs to do like make-up artist, tech and all that jazz. And for the competition we need points to get a chance to win and the points are basically our crew. Each person carries a point and if we get all the people that were mentioned on the list we get a pretty big chance to win as we're singing one of my songs (unfortunately) and we have good voices :) And If we win..We will record an album. Like a professional studio album. There will be judges and people who worked with like "The Script", "The Coronas" or "Flight Like Apes" so that's pretty big o-o. If we win we have a chance of becoming famous, which is very scary but also very awesome! I always wanted to be a professional singer with a rock band or something but I never really believed that it's gong to happen and I just left the thought of being famous.

I bought my ticket to see Watsky! I firstly was not allowed to go as I was supposed to go to London for Summer in the city but I then found out we don't have money to send me there so I have to go next year. So I said as I am not going to London I'll go to see Watsky in Dublin. I'm paying for everything myself so I'm proud :) Hopefully I'll get a t-shirt or a hat. I would want a hat with watsky on it or something. That would be class. I'm staying in a hostel then with a few friends which is going to be class as I have never stayed in a hostel/hotel in Ireland :D I actually can't wait c:

*Why I hate my originals? Because basically I write them in like 20 minutes and post them on YouTube in 10 minutes and then I never look at them again. So when I actually look at them they are shit. Ta-daa.
